Deep Jazzy influences, yet definitely hip hop in the drums. It's such an underrated EP in my humble opinion.
Favorite track: Dead Man's Jazz.

In Japan, a once respected Master Samurai Ryu-San became a vulgar ronin, living a hard life of duels to death. His body is covered with scars and ghosts are constantly haunting him.
One day, at the point where his wife, Mitsu, is about to give birth to his first children, he unexpectedly experiences a deep spiritual experience. He reaches Satori, the ultimate enlightment.
After all this life of suffering and killing, Ryu-San finally gets the peace of mind he was unrelentlessly looking for. Unfortunately, his Satori doesn't last long; he and his new born gets killed by a long time acquaintance and a fellow Ronin.
Mitsu, now widow, becomes the "ghost ronin", a female assassin that doesn't follow any rule, but only seeks revenge (see Mitsu, Assassinas EP).

Satori, in Zen Buddhism of Japan, the inner, intuitive experience of Enlightenment; Satori is said to be unexplainable, indescribable, and unintelligible by reason and logic, so is this Beat-Tape EP.
The artwork feature a provocative scene where the wife of a samurai is half naked, about to give birth.
The EP is also highly provocative. Entirely instrumental, is a mixture of Jazz, LoFI hip hop and electronic and world music, but doesn't fit any genre. Not always accessible, but always rich in texture, emotions and ambiences.
